Dear Community:

I feel so blessed to be the new Hazzan of Congregation Anshai Torah, and I want to invite you to join me for an exciting, musical installation weekend here at Anshai.

 Music is a sign of life – it shows our energy and holds space for our deepest commitments, including Torah, prayer, and acts of lovingkindness.

I want to invite you into two special events which will share the musical energy and commitment of our community.

On Friday, March 6th – I’ll be installed as Anshai’s Hazzan by my friend and colleague, Cantor Neil Newman, the Cantor Emeritus of Beth El Synagogue in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. The service will be accompanied by our amazing a cappella group, Kol Rina, and followed by a festive Shabbat Dinner.

On Sunday, March 8th, we are hosting a family-friendly concert highlighting the voices of our community. Performers include the UT Dallas Chamber Singers, Kol Rina, Rabbi Weinberg, Rabbi Elyssa Austerklein, and a new Anshai youth choir – plus other surprise guests.
