Dear Haverim,
As we prepare to welcome the New Year, we do so with gratitude for all we have shared as a community and with excitement for the opportunities that lie ahead. The High Holy Days invite us to reflect on where we have been, to renew our spirits, and to embrace the possibilities of a new beginning.
The month of Elul and the High Holy Days ask us to prepare our hearts and minds for the year ahead. We are offering a number of opportunities to inspire each of us to experience the most meaningful and spiritually fulfilling Yamim Noraim, Days of Awe.
Our Monday night Elul Learning Series will prepare our hearts and minds for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
During the High Holy Days themselves, we will once again offer engaging adult learning sessions, creating additional opportunities for reflection, discussion, and spiritual growth throughout our service times.
The 1st Day of Rosh Hashanah coincides with Shabbat, and we do not sound the shofar. Please plan to also join on the 2nd Day on Sunday, September 13 to hear the blasts of the shofar.
Looking beyond the High Holy Days, we eagerly anticipate a year full of exciting and inspiring programs. The programs include community building, music, learning, spirituality, and of course joy. Together, we continue to build a community rooted in tradition, energized by new ideas, and strengthened by the commitment of each member.
It is a privilege to serve this remarkable congregation. While your clergy and leadership are honored to help guide Anshai Torah, it is your participation, your generosity of spirit, and your presence that truly define our community. Anshai Torah is more than a synagogue—it is a place where we learn, celebrate, support one another, and create sacred connections that span generations.
We look forward to welcoming you for a meaningful and inspiring High Holy Day season filled with prayer, learning, music, and community.

Non-Member and Additional High Holy Day tickets are now available.
Whether you’re here for the first time or a lifetime member, we are happy to share in reflection and renewal as this season brings us together.
Children’s Programming
During the High Holy Days, we offer
babysitting for children ages 2 years old through PreK as well as youth services and programs for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade. All are free for Anshai Torah Members, and $50 per child for non-members.
Volunteer to be an Usher
Ushers are needed to ensure the comfort of all attendees during our High Holy Day services.

Our annual appeal is our main source of operating support, beyond dues and tuition. It is through the generosity of our members that we can achieve our mission, and uphold the highest standards of programming, and worship, to transform the way we experience Jewish life at Anshai Torah.
