7:30 PM - 8:30 PMAbortion/When Does Life Begin - A Jewish Perspective
Each 60-70 minute program will address a specific social topic from the perspective of how we must confront it according to Jewish law. Drawing from our core Jewish texts, as well ancient and contemporary commentaries and Rabbinic opinions, including Reform, Conservative and Orthodox perspectives, Rabbi Kushnic will lead a discussion and help us determine "what Judaism says." Sometimes there is an answer. Other times, the answer remains unclear, leaving it up to you to decide.
And sometimes the answers will surprise and shock you!!
Previous topics have included gun control, abortion, cremation, use of electricity on Shabbat, tattoos, vaccinations, etc.
Please join us for this lively and fascinating discussion.
